I blend up a lot of smoothies at our house and they are never the same. I make them completely depending on what we have on hand. I keep a variety of frozen berries and fruits in the freezer and we always have bananas, powdered greens, juice of some kind and yogurt. In the fall when I have Pumpkin Butter I will even make Pumpkin Smoothies with vanilla yogurt. Here is an example of what I am talking about and the smoothie I made today. I made popsicles with some of it then we drank the rest, it was good.
- 2 very ripe bananas
- Juice and zest of 2 Limes
- Pomegranate Juice
- 1 Scoop of powdered greens or a hand full of fresh spinach
